The Madman
Only a Kahlil Gibran can script a masterpiece like 'The Madman,' the first of his work and composed one of his best scripts. Insanity is a virtue in the recent world. This madman is a sane person, resembled a man and possessed a childish mind. He was virtually rejoicing every moment of his life. The character of madman only testifies that Gibran lived far a head of his times.
The madman discovers freedom and safety in his madness. He is agreeable enough to call thieves as blessed for they had stolen their masks, uncovering his good identity and preventing him from being enslaved. A madman can freely talk with God, wind and sea and you can drag aside him and be his friend, though your path may be different.
The madman unearths wisdom everywhere, whether it is a scarecrow or be it a discourse of Jesus on 'give and take' or a unusual fight between two hermits. He can appreciate seeing sleepwalkers and dogs telling cats that bones are the answers for prayers and not mice. He possesses the astounding wisdom to address on the seven selves and nothingness. He could do these and many more only because he was excited.
He undoubtedly derives pleasure from every single entity or incident he comes across in his life whether it is night, death, joy, sorrow, ambitions, learned men, king, fox, ants, a blade of a grass, defeat, triumph, top-notch God, rotten God, a devil and an angel.
'The madman' is an eternal inspiration for mankind. The wisdom lies in his madness and only he can unveil a perfect world. "Be enlightened by this truth! Powered by LoveQuotesPoem.blogspot.com
